The Property Commission has been appointed with the ongoing maintenance and ongoing improvement to the facility. Our present location was constructed in 1957 and has had two major renovation projects. These projects have expanded our space to accommodate our growing family. Photos of the church property can be found in the Photo Gallery.
Outside
Our facility sits on approximately 3.2 acres of land that has many mature trees and green foliage. The main building is stone facade with an illuminated wood cross over our front entrance. Our new courtyard has a beautiful Episcopal seal lined with bricks naming everyone that has supported our most recent renovations with their generosity. Our grounds also contain our memorial garden (see section below). We also have two parking lots to provide ample parking for Sunday services.
Inside
Inside of the church, our members enjoy a free standing alter, vaulted ceilings and seating for approximately 320 people. Our facility is now fully handicap accessible with an elevator, ramps at various entrances and an ADA compliant rest room. Our organ was replaced in 1990 and the pipes add to the beauty of the church. During the summer we now enjoy air conditioning in the church and parish hall. Our parish hall has just been fully renovated and is a bright and inviting space for all to join together for fellowship after the services. Our chapel features stain glass windows and is made up of items from our former location and is a beautiful place for quite meditation and prayer.
The Memorial Garden
FOR PRAYER AND CONTEMPLATION, REMEMBRANCE, REFLECTION, AND REST.
The Memorial Garden was created for the interment of the cremated remains of the parishioners of the Episcopal Church of the Advent and their immediate family members. The Garden is adjacent to the church on the west side between the Chapel and the Pastoral Care Center.
PCOC
Our Pastoral Care and Office Center is located next door to the church at 201 Crestline Rd. It consists of all the offices for clergy and staff and has a small conference room. The building was the former Rectory and was converted in 2003.
